The Byron Bay Lighthouse
A popular attraction for holiday makers and locals alike. Sitting on Australia’s most easterly point you can drive to the top and take in the picturesque views of the Bay and surrounding beaches including Wategos Beach and Cosy Corner. Alternatively get a little closer to nature and take the 3.7 km loop hike through rainforest, beach, grassland and clifftops to the top of the lighthouse.
Whale Watching
Just one of the unique and magical experiences Byron Bay has to offer. Between the months of May and November see these majestic creatures begin their annual migration along the spectacular NSW coast. Join a paid Whale Watching tour or visit one of the many free viewing points around Byron Bay and surrounding suburbs including Cape Byron Lighthouse in Byron Bay, Pat Morton lookout in Lennox Head and Lighthouse hill in Ballina.

Byron Bay Beaches
Wategos
Located below Cape Byron lighthouse Wategos beach is the perfect spot to swim, surf and relax. Sit and watch the local dolphins play, grab a longboard and join them in the waves or enjoy a BBQ with friends at one of the free beachside barbecue areas.
The Pass
One of Australia’s iconic beach locations. Soak up the sunshine on the long stretch of white sandy beach, relax underneath the pandanus trees, get amongst the world class long, tubing right handers that break off the rock, watch the surfers from the viewing platform or launch your boat from the boat ramp. On a calm day this beach is also the one of the best spots in Byron Bay to swim.
Belongil beach
A stunning and secluded stretch of beach, far removed from the busier Byron Bay beaches. It’s a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Explore the under-water scene at the Wreck – a popular snorkelling spot, which also creates a good surf break.

The Farm
